General security
Access to your account is restricted to people who know your username and password. We keep this information in a database on the web server, and have additional security measures in place to deter unauthorized access. Note that only the information you enter on the web site is kept on the web server. Sensitive stuff like your credit information and order history are not stored on the server.

Orders that are in progress or recently completed are stored in the web server's database, just like your account information. However, we remove these orders from the web server as soon your order is completed, so there is little opportunity for misuse of the information.

Our security system isn't bulletproof (no web server's is). The most credible threat, we believe, comes from your competitors or bad actors trying to surreptitiously change your account information or order products in your name. But remember, we always send an order confirmation of your order before we ship. Please verify the order confirmation to ensure secure use of your on-line account.
At Americana we take our relationship with you very seriously. We don't share sensitive information about your business with anybody without your knowledge, web site or no web site.

Credit card security
Your credit card (Visa, MasterCard & American Express) information is secure at Americana. You can enter your credit card information on the order and once you provide a copy of the credit card as well as our Credit Card Approval form, our Credit Department will verify the card information for your protection as well as ours. Once approved, your order will be released to ship. Call 1-800-473-2802 X1126 for questions. There is a 3% loss of cash discrount for credit card orders.
